Email Help

Your inbox is clogged with unsolicited ads for penis enhancements, shady investment tips, and desperate letters from Nigerian princes, but even though you actually signed up for it, the Daily Shot is somehow getting flagged as spam. Not fair, is it? But don’t worry, we’re here to help (although we’ll leave it to you to tell Gwammi Mufasta that he’s not getting your bank account number).

In most cases, you can ensure that our emails get through unimpeded by adding us to your Address Book:

• Open your Address Book
• Click Add Contact or Add Address
• Fill out whatever info you like, but make sure that the email address you enter is dailyshot@johnq.com

If that doesn’t work, find your email provider below for more specific instructions on how to make sure that the Daily Shot gets through, as well as info on how to unblock images so that you can enjoy the Shot in it’s full graphical splendor.

GMail

If you’re receiving the Daily Shot in your spam email folder:

• Open your Spam Folder
• Open the Daily Shot email
• Click Not Spam at the top

If images are being blocked, click More Options at the top of the email and select Display External Images.

Yahoo!

If you’re receiving the Daily Shot in your Spam folder, follow these steps:

• Open your Spam Folder
• Open the Daily Shot email
• Click on Not Spam near the top of the screen

If you’ve added us to your Address Book and images are still blocked, open Options and select the Spam section. Under Block Images select Show images only from my contacts and certified senders.

Microsoft Outlook

If the Daily Shot is being marked as Junk E-Mail:

• Open the Tools menu, and select Options
• Under the Preferences tab, select Junk E-Mail
• In the Safe Senders tab click the Add button
• Type johnq.com into the field in the popup and click OK

If the images are being blocked, adding johnq.com to your Safe Senders list will fix this as well.

Hotmail or MSN

If you’re receiving the Daily Shot in your junk email folder:

• Click Options
• Click Junk Email Protection
• Click Safe List
• Add “johnq.com”

If images are being blocked, click on Options, then on Mail Display Settings. Select Display Internet Content.

AOL

If you’re not receiving the Daily Shot to your AOL account, adding us to your Address Book should fix things. Our emails may end up in the Bulk Senders folder, so if it seems like you’re not getting them, check there first.

If images are being blocked, click on Enable Images and Links in your mail browser window.
